November Coming Fire - Black Ballads (Speedowax, 2004)
Only recently came across this on vinyl, always just had the CD version. They’ve been one of my favourite bands since I first saw them supporting Converge in a Scout hut in Canterbury many years ago. I’m glad they’re back after having split for a while. They moved on from the metallic style on show here, but this EP always sounds killer to these ears, and Transgression still has one of the greatest mosh parts ever recorded.
Also saw this poster for a show that happened in Ashford a few years ago. Fucking ridiculous.
glad i saw this, sick show, brings back good memories, never thought i’d see the suicide file
Jesus. I was supposed to go to this show but our car was fucked. The fucking Fight Back, laaaaaaaaaads.
Jumped on this bill after Jim from Suicide File persuaded us to drive down from playing in London on the same day and use their backline. One of the coolest shows we played.
The Hope Con/Suicide File/Panic crew were always very kind to us back in the day.
Auction ends this evening. Worth a punt if you value your tone!
Used this only a few times including BBC Radio One session at Maida Vale. Brilliant amplifier.

Sid and Pete from Thirty Seconds Until Armageddon’s new jam. It’s ridiculous how good this is. Coalesce and Deadguy worship. How it was for me thirteen years ago. Hemlock13 is steaming ahead as the most exciting Hardcore/Metal label in the country. Filthy, lowdown, evil. We’re in.
I’m beyond stoked to announce that Grace from the North East of England will be releasing a new record on H13 in the very near future.
For the unfamiliar, Grace draw influence from the same well of seething vitriol that fueled classic bands like Deadguy and Coalesce. Last years demo gave us a taste of what these gentleman were capable of but the new material is a violent descent into the realm of truly psychotic sounds.
Bellicose, metallic hardcore that somehow manages to be both progressive and primitive in equal measure. Full release details will be announced soon but for now here’s “Sorrow” to whet your appetite….spread the pestilence, reblog!
